Movie Update
Check out this mad update on two films I’ve seen recently. You can leave comments and we can discuss current cinematic trends, and the state of popular culture as a whole.
I know I go on about how much I hate Harry Potter, but I nonetheless went to see Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire last week. Strangely, the hatred I have for the books (mostly because of it’s phenomenal popularity with the adult set), doesn’t so much translate to the films, which I can actually quite enjoy.
Most interesting for me was the fact that I spotted Jarvis Cocker in the film. Upon later investigation I found that seemingly everybody knew about this ‘supergroup’ but me.
Nao and I also saw Thumbsucker a couple of weeks ago, and we both enjoyed it very much. If anyone wants to discuss it, you’re welcome to leave a comment.

ME AGAIN!
the offsider and i went to see thumbsucker the other week too… although i thought we were going to see something a bit more “mainstream” due to a mix up at the breakfast table.. but alas, we went and saw and although i didn’t want to leave mid-movie, i wasn’t shaken…. should’ve just asked you what happened and the end and been done with it!
i also did not know about aforementioned “supergroup” … shows you how “out of touch” we are!

Yeah, I know. We obviously haven’t been reading Wizard News lately.

Yeah, I know. I’ve got something in the works. With a bit of luck, it’ll be worth the wait.

Seems to me that you should read the Harry Potter books. Then you may even appreciate the movies even more! And you wouldn’t have to ask your brother about all the stuff the movies skips, or changes… Just a suggestion - bioobs
