The Fauves at The Rob Roy

According to the title of this post, I saw The Fauves at the Rob Roy Hotel on Saturday night, along with Nao, Robert and Rosie. They played some old favourites, along with some semi-old songs that I can’t recall hearing live before, peppered with a couple of duds (I think it’s time to drop ‘Ticket to the Big Time’, and ‘Nairobi Nights’ from the live set).

Although the show wasn’t remarkable, and certainly not the best I’ve seen them, I was very pleased to hear they are in the process of completing their 8th studio album.

Ever the opportunist, I shot off an ambitious email to The Fauves via their website, offering my services to design the cover of the, as yet, unreleased album. I’m expecting no reply, but if anything comes of it, I’ll post an update.

Also, Robert and I are to be mentioned in the next diary entry on TheFauves.com. We’ll see…
